  • Round robin within each pool to establish seeding. The #1 seed gets a bye to the semifinals. The #8 & #9 seeds play a consolation game.
  • The remaining 6 teams play a quarterfinal game for a spot in the semifinals. QF pairings will be #7 vs #2, #6 vs #3, and #5 vs #4, UNLESS that results in a rematch from pool play. So exact placement may vary.
  • The standard tie breaks within a pool also apply against teams in the other pool for seeding. If there is still a tie between pools from different pools, cumulative goals within each pool will break the tie.
  • It is possible that there still could be ties. They shall be broken at the discretion of the tournament director.
  • A tie for 2nd might be decided by a coin flip since both teams would host a QF game. Similarly, ties anywhere between third and sixth have minimal impact on QF pairing.
  • But a tie for first or seventh will need to be determined by the tournament director.
